川普日前在東北5州初選大獲全勝，票數累計達988票，過半門檻是1237票。他一度被認為不可能贏得共和黨總統提名，現已勝利在望。加州在美國各州之中人口最多而且種族最具多元性，該州共和黨總統初選將在6月7日登場，黨代表票為172票，川普若再取走這個大票倉，篤定獲得提名。
